Dell Managed Services Programs for Partners (US Only)

Beginning April 2009 US Dell PartnerDirect participants have two options from Dell to participate in Managed Services – Sales Agent or Certified. Both offer:

Sales Agent: Dell ProManage Managed Services:
Enroll to become a Sales Agent for Dell’s ProManage Managed Services offer
  • Free your technical resources from basic IT maintenance
  • Helps build long term annuity streams based on revenue share
  • Reduce Risk – no partner delivery obligations or out of pocket costs; Dell provides 100% of the remote and on-site delivery, contracts, and end user billing
  • Expand your service portfolio with a great program to increase uptime for your end users

Q: Can you tell me more about Dell’s ProManage Managed Service and how being a Sales Agent works?

A: Additional details on Dell’s service are available here www.dell.com/managedservices. Once a partner has enrolled and completed training to become a Sales Agent, you will run the customer sales process which mirrors the Dell Direct offers in terms of contract options, pricing, and service delivery. Dell will perform the initial technical assessment and provide a proposal based on the results. Once you have the customer sign the agreement you will receive a recurring commission for the life of the contract.

Q: Where is Dell offering these services for Channel Partners?

A: Both the Certified and Sales Agent Programs are available to US-based Registered Partners. Certified Partners make their own determination on geographic coverage area for their service. Sales Agents can sell this offer in the same coverage area as the Dell Direct offer based on the 67 city US expansion. A complete list of zip codes being covered is available through the Sales Agent training.

Q: Is Dell planning to take over my account?

A: No. The Sales Agent program is designed to align Dell and the partner in jointly serving the account over an extended period. This relationship is designed for partners who want to have Dell deliver a comprehensive, proactive maintenance service for a customer’s IT Environment while maintaining the Partner’s role as an advisor and provider of their own high value-add services beyond maintenance.
